Just some info on abbreviations for taggers and those using digital scrapbooking

 Hello!

This is just a short "info" post ... wanted to put this here as a more-or-less something to use as a reference to fall back to as/when needed.  If you think this might help someone else, please ... feel free to share the link to this!

In a Facebook group I'm in that is geared towards PSP taggers, the following question was asked:  "What does 'PU' stand for in the context of digital scrapbooking?"

I responded with the following (below).  I also wanted to share it here for those that may not know or recall these abbreviations, or just needed a little refresher.  If you can think of something I missed, let me know and I'll be sure to add it.

When using these abbreviations, you do not need to use the quotation marks.

"PU" = Personal Use (Only)
"PTU" = Pay To Use
"FTU" = Free To Use
"CU" = Commercial Use Allowed
"R4R" = Resale for Resale (*)
"GPG" = General Permission Granted
"GP" = Group Permission
"DNU" = Do Not Use
"NL" = Needs License (to use)
"CC" = Copyright Compliant
"TS" - Tagger Size
"FS" = Full Sized (actual digital scrapbooking size)
"ppi" = pixels per inch

• Tagger Size is usually done at a lower ppi/dpi (somewhere in the range of 72-79 ppi) while Full Sized is done at a higher ppi/dpi (usually somewhere between 200-300). Also, the size/dimension of Tagger Sized is typically smaller, with papers and elements not being larger than 800 pixels on the largest size. Full Sized is usually around 2000 to 3000 pixels on the largest size.

*R4R = This is what I've always known it to be.  If someone knows it differently, let me know?  Thanks.

Audio Players Added!

Just to let you know I have added 2 audio players for music on my blog.  They are set to not start up when the blog loads up - instead you are in control of the controls so if you want to listen, just click on the play button.  If not, just leave it off.  You can find them in the far right side column, about 1/4 way down.  I also added one to the tutorials blog - it's along the top, under the header.  If you like that area instead of along the right side, let me know?

Right now they're just the "free" options so they are limited in what they offer.  I'm trying them out, see how I like them.  I had a Spotify list that I tried to add (I have quite a few different playlists) however I couldn't get it to work so if any of you out there have audio players on your blog - specifically Blogger/Blogspot - and you got them working ... can you share how you did it, or what you used?  Preferably free, or very low monthly cost.  (Money is quite limited right now.)

Many thanks in advance and if you like/use them, enjoy!

EDIT/ADDING:  OMG Got the Spotify to finally work.  Will work on the sizing of it however for now, it works, it's playable, you can listen so you now have 3 available!

Hello and Welcome!

 Trying something new and different for me.....

Years ago, I had tried my hand at selling scrap kits - wasn't that successful.  So, for the time being, I'll be sharing all my scrap kits - both FTU and Previously PTU - here on this blog.  I'll also be sharing other stuff made in PSP and other places, such as masks, frames, backgrounds, gradients and so forth.  There isn't going to be any kind of schedule to the shares.  I might share once a week, or back to back, or possibly weeks in between.  Whenever it hits me and I post.  The scrap items are in zip-files, and the TOU will be in there, too.

Also, have recently gotten in to AI and use a variety of different programs - sometimes I'll use one image and put it through 2 or more.  I know some are leery of AI, or refusing to use it and that is your prerogative and I respect that.  However, please reciprocate and respect my desire to use these AI generated products, without argument.  I - personally - just view it as another (digital) art tool, just like some use Procreate or Photoshop or Wacom tablets.  Based on the info provided by many of the AI places, they are not USING other artist's art.  What the programs are designed to do is, if prompted, they are using the art style of whatever artist might be mentioned to help get an idea of what the designer/creator is trying to accomplish.  I see this as not much different than a (traditional) artist using inspiration from other sources, including other artists.  The percentage of an "artist" showing up in a finished AI image (or even their art style), when combined with all the other stuff via the prompts ends up being quite small.

That being said, to cover all bases, I checked out the TOUs/TOS for the different AI programs that I've been using and what they do and don't allow (etc.) and I will provide the links to them on the side of the blog.  When I post anything for FTU share that was designed in an AI program in any manner (even if just a small percentage), I will note it both in the post and on the item.  Since my understanding is that AI generated art can NOT be copyrighted, when using my (AI) stuff, you can use the following for crediting:

I also started up a new tutorial blog, which can be found here:

I'm not sure if I'll be reviving my old scrap blog - if I do, I will let you know.  I *do* have all intention(s) of reviving my tutorial blog, which is still usable and found here:
