Kneeling Santa

Years ago, growing up, when I was still being raised as Protestant and attended church and took part in the folk choir and Youth group and all that, I fell in love with a very simple figurine that, to me, embodies part of the true feel of the season.  The figurine was/is known as the "Kneeling Santa".

(picture not mine - however this is what mine looked like)

I was so taken by this that my mom actually got it for me for Christmas one year.  It instantly became a treasured holiday item.  I held on to it for many years until, unfortunately, it was lost during one of my many moves.

Years ago, while in the group for Belle's Graphics, she was taking requests for ideas for her posers.  I requested the Kneeling Santa (gave her photos so she could get an idea) - she happily obliged.  This is the tag I made with her creation, in keeping with the concept of the original design:

While the figurine is no longer here, the spirit lives on.  And in a sharing of that tradition, I created a few images of this in AI (Perchance).  I hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoy sharing it with you.

I hope you like them.  As usual, click on the image to enlarge, and then right click/save as to your computer/device.

Season's Greetings to you and yours, however you celebrate.

Hanukkah and Kwanzaa

Hey Everyone!

During the holiday season, it is apparent that Christmas is in the forefront when it comes to observation of the holiday. Everywhere you go, you see all kinds of reminders of Christmas - foods, decorations, commercials, clothing, shopping ... even videos on social media. Sadly, that means that sometimes the other holidays and religious celebrations often take a back seat.  In an attempt to bring some light to how others may celebrate within their respective beliefs, I made up a few things for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.  I will admit that I don't know all the intricate details of these celebrations and their important symbols however I tried to do the best I could to at least have a few of the more well-known items represented. And yes, I know some don't have the correct count of candles.  I was specific in my prompts however, it appears AI doesn't know how to count LOL   A couple of them are just the menorah and loaves of bread so I guess they might also be usable for Shabbat-themed creations?

I know it may sound cliché or whatever, however, my personal view is that I don't have to understand it or follow/believe in it, agree with it - or whatever - to respect it and those who do and that's in regards to all things: their culture, their traditions, their religious/spiritual beliefs, their politics, their "history" and experiences ... whatever.  It doesn't change or take away from me or the core of who/what I am and what I believe, think and/or feel to extend that respect and kindness to others. I would rather embrace the diversity as well as the similarities.

Back to the images/tubes:  also, some of the images came out very nice so I also saved them in layered format (.psd) for anyone who'd like to use the full images instead of - or in addition to - the tubed versions.  Because they are layered, I uploaded them to Mediafire - there will be download links for both holidays under the tubes.  Heads up, because they are the full images and several layers, they are a little file-size heavy.

For those who follow these faiths, I hope I did them justice.  Please know I did it with nothing except respect and I hope that, however you celebrate, may it be filled with love, joy and being surrounded by those who mean so much to you.

Anyway ... I hope you like them and if you use them in anything, I'd love to see.

As usual, they are in png format, so just click on it to enlarge and then "right click/save as" to your computer/device.

Remembrance Candles

 Hi!

Today I bring you something a little bit different.  A couple of months back I was trying to make a Remembrance - aka "Memoriam" or "In Memory of" - Candle.  I wanted just a simple pillar candle, single wick, lit, with a black ribbon around the candle and a black awareness-style ribbon on the front and a single rose in front of it, laying on it's side.  I wanted this to make a couple of "Sorry for Your Loss" or condolences type of tags.  Quite a few of them didn't come out the greatest however between 2 different AI image generators - Creative Fabrica Studio, and DezGo - I managed to make a few.  I thought I'd share them here for anyone who may find they need something like this.

Forum Style Masks

I was playing around in PSP the other day, messing around with different filters and brushes and whatnot, and made up some forum-style (sized) masks.  They are sized 600x250 pixels.  General use, not holiday/event specific.  Some have the mask in both jpg and png formats - there were a few I couldn't make it happen for both formats without completely changing the look.  I actually made over 20 masks that day, messing around with some basic shapes and using different filters, different layer properties and whatnot.  I'll just put some here today, put more up later.

Hope you like them and thanks for looking!

If you use them in your creations, I'd love to see!

Christmas Joy - Guy Style!

Hello and happy holidays, however you and yours celebrate the season!!

I am posting today to share some holiday themed JOY ... well, I hope you find them joyful!  LOL  I know I sure do.  I made these up in Perchance AI (I am absolutely LOVING the results it gives and also, it's free!) and made up a bunch of guys offering up milk and cookies (and whatever else?).  I will admit, I did some internal sighing while getting these ready for you all!  There are 8 in all.  Consider these a little "gift" to the women out there!

Anyway ... I hope you like them and if you use them in anything, I'd love to see.

As usual, they are in png format, so just click on it to enlarge and then "right click/save as" to your computer/device.

Quick Post - Semi Transparent Frames

This is just a very quick post.  I was fiddling around with different filters and managed to make a couple of forum-sized semi-transparent frames and thought maybe someone would like to give them a go, try them out.  They're both sized 600x250 pixels however the inner area where the main part of the tag goes .. are 2 different sizes.  Also, the "inside" of one of them (top in preview) is also semi-transparent where the center of the other is completely open.

I placed them together in a .psd file (each on it's own layer) and uploaded to Mediafire - link under preview.  If you make anything with them, I'd love to see!
